Volcom Clothing

In 1991 Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall set off on a snowboard trip that would forever change their lives. After a week of riding Tahoe powder, they knew they couldn't return to the real world. The two came up the idea of starting a riding company based around the sports they enjoyed. With an initial $5000, borrowed from Richard's dad, they started the process. First the name and then the stone. Volcom was born.

Youth against the establishment became the major philosophy of Volcom to support young creative thinking. From wild and humble beginnings grew one of the biggest clothing companies in the skate, snow, wake and surf culture. From their artist series t-shirts to the unique details in their boardshorts and premium denim, Volcom is all about spirit and creativity.
